Outside the Logger's Retreat
Our home is located high on the hillside above Lewis Creek, facing east and surrounded by pines, oaks, manzanita and bear clover. From the decks you have unobstructed views of Raymond Mountain to the northeast and the Lewis Creek watershed to the south. Even on warm summer days, up here you'll still feel cool mountain breezes.
Have lunch in our private picnic area below the house, surrounded with unique artifacts from the logging, mining and farming industries. It's a great place to relax and imagine what it was like to live in these hills more than a century ago! And after a long exciting day, you'll love to soak in the hot tub, or maybe just doze awhile in our swinging chair.
Enjoy an evening walk along the old stagecoach road to Fish Camp. Then curl up with a book from our library, perhaps to learn more about the colorful history of the Yosemite area, or maybe just to enjoy a good story with family and friends.
